Michael,
We just received the news about Peggy.
I am left with a deep empty feeling that sadness is rapidly filling.
I can only imagine your sorrow over the years.
How can we help?
Be strong!!

Mike and Family,
Barbara and I were shocked and saddened when Mary Lou notified us yesterday about the DMC announcement of Peggy's death. At this time words seem so insignificant, but I wanted to write this brief note to let you know that you and the children are in our thoughts and prayers as you go forward through this time of tremendous loss. We are a true family of children's surgeons, and as I have conveyed to you in the past Mike, you have been a tremendous member of our team who has with Peggy held the highest pedestal of respect and importance for the Ziegler component of that team. We express our sympathy to you and the children with the utmost sincerity and respect and wish you God's comfort as you deal with your loss. Behind all great men is a great woman, and Peggy was such a person for you.
Our sincere sympathy. God speed.

I'm very sorry to hear about Peggy. Joe Biden said something about loss which I has been useful to me no matter what ones political ideals and certainly helped me when my parents died 4 years ago. Biden said that no matter what sadness or pain one felt now at the loss of their loved one, in time that memory would bring a smile to ones face rather than tears. That was certainly true in my experience and I pray in yours as well.
